LA Aboretum...

My die hard Photo Group Friends and I hit up the LA Aboretum yesterday for a Photo Play Day!  I had attended the Moonlight Forest event there in December and thought - "We should come back here during the day to check this place out!"  So I threw the idea to the group and my usual crew hit it up.  It's a beautiful place and friggin huge!  The only downfall yesterday was it ended up getting super hot and there's not a whole lot of shade when your trekking around.  But other than the heat it was a lovely day of shooting away!

1st of all there were Peacocks everywhere!!!  They were totally indifferent to people and you could walk right up to them and snap away.  Such beautiful birds!

A couple of us drew challenge cards for the day and I got Photograph Shadows.

We came across this one lake that Amber didn't even realize was a lake at 1st because it was covered in green algae.  So friggin cool!

Yup...actually a lake.  Don't walk in there!

Hi Turtle!

The ducks were snacking away on it

The arboretum is really a pretty place!  I'd love to check out the whole thing some day when it's a bit cooler.
