I'm definitely a Daddy's Girl.
When I was a kid I was always with "The boys". My Papa. My dad. I was a total tomboy. Growing up I don't think my father was ready for the independent, foul mouthed, strong willed, basically female version of him to be his daughter.
We have a strange unexplainable connection.
We are basically the same person.
My brother has grown up to be a lot like my mom and I have grown up to pretty much be exactly like my father.
My dad has done a 360 when it comes to mellow and this makes me so happy. Retirement changed him, then my dance with death completely changed him (Myself as well) when it comes to letting things go and enjoying life more.
He spoils me rotten and I love it. We have lunch every Friday. He takes me to Doheny Blues Festival every year. He takes me and my brother to the OC Fair. To the Street Fair. He sometimes still takes me shopping. I love him to pieces and he makes me so happy!
Love you Daddy!
